THE 10/40 WINDOW . . . . .
About 85% of the world's unreached peoples are located in what is known as the 10/40 Window. This is an area of our world that extends from 10 degrees north of the equator to 40 degrees north of the equator and from Western Africa to Eastern Asia (see map below).
All 50 of the world's least evangelized megacities (see partial listing to the right) are in this region, as well as 8 out of 10 of the poorest of the world's poor.
Yet only about 8% of the world's missionary force is working in the 10/40 Window. Thus, some of the most important missionary work of our age is in this area.
