A native Arizonan, Mr. Briggs spent his early years involved in the musical arts. For many years, he performed with the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra and other musical organizations around the state.

A lifelong interest led him to the study of the visual arts. He pursued course work at Scottsdale Artists’ School and attended numerous workshops where he studied with many of the country’s finest watercolor artists, including Diane Maxey, Dick Phillips, Tom Lynch, Timothy Clarke, Wei Tai, Frederick Wong and Marilyn Simandle. His works are hanging in many private collections throughout the United States and can be seen at the Windsong Gallery in Prescott Valley and Pine Artisans Gallery in Pine. Locally, they may be viewed at Fine Arts Shows in Scottsdale throughout the winter season. Please call for times and locations.

Mr. Briggs endeavors to create an uplifting experience for the viewer. Through the use of color and design he strives to make his subject matter come alive in the two dimensional plane.
