OTHER STUFF
A friend of mine manufactures decals for the gauges. They are very HIGH QUALITY and add a very unique touch to the interior of the car. I have installed them on the car that I am currently building. The application was a breeze, granted, I still haven't installed the dash in my car yet. Even with the dash in the car they shouldn't be too much trouble. The three center gauges are very easy to get at with the dash box removed. Disconnect the wiring and each gauge has a single 10 ml. screw holding it in. The Speedo and tach are a bit more difficult, dropping the steering column from the dash helps. DON'T FORGET TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY FIRST !http://www3.telus.net/datsunzzzzcars/
So, what do you do about nuts and bolts and all the other little bits and pieces ?. Rusty and dirty nuts and bolt are a fact of life. At best trying to replace them all is a pain in the ass. Standing at a bench grinder all day is no fun either. Find yourself an old rock tumbler at a garage sale or buy one new, they aren't that expensive. Chuck in all your rusty bits and pieces just make sure all the grease and oil has been cleaned off. Toss in a few handfuls of sand and some anti-freeze and let them tumble over night. Works great takes off paint as well ! rinse off in the morning...instant new nuts....is that nuts or what ?Click above for full size pictureWiring diagram for electric radiator fan
