Well, I haven't had much experience with this software, so I'll just briefly cover this topic.

On June 16, 1999, Maxis™, owned by Electronic Arts™, released the long-waited-for SimCity Building Architect Tool™, casually known as BAT. Building Architect Tool (BAT) is a free, additional building designer program that lets you create and design buildings and use them in SimCity 3000. Of course, you need the game SimCity 3000 if you actually want to use the buildings. Otherwise, you can just create buildings, sit back, and enjoy them. Or you can even share them online at the Building Exchange at SimCity.com.

Building Architect Tool was built due to the success of SimCity Urban Renwal Kit (SCURK) with SimCity 2000. In the Building Architect Tool, it is supposedly easier to create buildings because you build buildings with building blocks of different shapes instead of pixels. Then you go to your next step and paint the building, ground, etc. After that, you can put your finishing touches with the decals. You can even create your own paints or decals if you want. Finally, you can save your building and replace buildings in SimCity 3000. It's THAT easy.
