George Young's Family Album

George Young and Viola Cantrell. These are my husbands parents. They were married in 1910 and raised five children, four daughters and a son, in and around Sulligent, Alabama.

These are my parents, Elvin (Ted) Henderson and Bessie Wallace. They were married February 27, 1940 in Portales, New Mexico. My father was in construction and worked on the installation of dams all over Washington and California. For that reason we moved around a LOT.

This was taken a long time ago while we were yet young. Wouldn't it be nice to still be young? I believe this was taken about 1967 or 1968. I think our twins may have been around a year old.

This was taken at a studio when our daughter and grandaughters went to get their photos taken also. It was sort of a package deal. Ours was suppose to be much cheaper, but you know how those things go when it comes time to pick out the proofs.

This was taken last Christmas. As you can see we have tried to age gracefully, but sometimes that can be a problem.
