Wimpy never recieved the reconition that he rightly deserved for a lot of reasons. Even in his home town the only tribute is a small plaque at the recreation park.
Those of us that knew Wimpy will always remember him as a great player and a wonderful man.Here I will try to tell you a little about the man I knew.
Wimpy once told me"Gary you will never be truly great at the game unless you really love it,put your whole heart and sole into it".
The pool room where he learned the game is still standing,but it`s just not the same anymore.
