Will of Thomas Duke

State of Georgia, County of Carroll - In the name of God Amen, I Thomas Duke being of sound and disposing mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of this mortal life to make and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following.

Item 1st - that my just debts be paid out of my estate

Item 2nd - I give and bequeath to the Inferior Court of Carroll County one half acre of land on lot No one hundred and forty three (....) For my buring place in the fifth District of Carroll County.

Item 3rd - I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Mary Duke during her natural life or widowhood all my estate real and personal.

Item 4th - I gvie to my son George W Duke at the death of my wife or the end of widowhood one half Share of my estate. And to my grand daughter Sarah E Duke one half share of my estate. All the rest of my children or representatives to share and share alike in all my estate.

Item 5th - I hereby constitute and appoint my two sons Alexander H and Zebulon P Duke my Executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all others made by me. .......my hand and seal this 20th day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand and eight hundred and Sixty six.................................................................................................Thomas Duke Seal
