Wow! Another long break before another update. I'm tired with apologies and excuses. So, I'm getting right to the point. These are my new titles and acquisitions. When will be the next update? I don't know!!! Do I sound grouchy today? I'm really tired of what I've been doing lately and I could never get enough rest. I doubt my sleeping will reach REM. I'm just too stressed out and I can't help it.
OK, so let's talk about anime. I like Minami-ke a lot but I am not too fond of its 2nd "season" called Minami-ke Okawari. The episodes are not funny as the first one. I had fun with the first because everyone's so funny. Another thing... remember that I already disposed of the Rozen Maiden series? Well, I'm getting them back and I'm putting them back in my collection. I just realized how wonderful this series was when I got the chance to listen to its soundtrack again at youtube.
As for my wants, I finally gotten some of them such as the Magical Lyrical Nanoha series, and Nana 2 Live Movie. I'm removing some of the wants such as Blue Drop and Bamboo Blade. I'm sorry but they're just not interesting enough for me. Come to think of it, I think I'll remove other series that I had in mind like "They are my Noble Masters" and "Rosario to Vampire". These 2 anime are just made for fanservice. Instead I placed new titles on my wants: Nijuu-Mensou no Musume, Itazura no Kiss, and Vampire Knight.

By the way... there's really a reason for you to come again in this site because I'm having a miscellaneous section at the left side of this page. Right now, the available link is my garage sale which will be updated from time to time. They are my extra/excess CDRs that I wanted to give away. They're really CHEAP just enough to cover the original cost of the CDRs itself. Other links will be put up during the year. I'm thinking of putting up freebies and downloads section. YES, freebies are freebies. Apart from my garage sale, I MAY give away some of my CDRs absolutely free. ^_^x I am still thinking on that subject though.
Other Concerns... Well, this is really non-APL related but I just want to voice out my deepest concern to the people who would be able to read this message. I'll make this short: "CAN SOMEBODY MAKE A COMPLETE ENGLISH-SUBBED GLASS MASK 2005 TO BE AVAILABLE BEFORE 2009?" (Why do I tend to fall in love with titles which are subbed ever so slowly? Last time was Kaleidostar. -_-') Anyway, I'm still grateful to "Mugen" subs for their hard work. *phew* Ok, that's all. Thank you! ^_^x

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: I regret to inform you all that Anime no Pilot Light will close down on December 31, 2006 for at least 6 to 12 months. Anime no Pilot Light will cease trading and distributing CDs. Unfortunately, I cannot disclose the reasons for the said action. T_T In preparation for the shutting down, Anime no Pilot Light is disposing some of its CDs at only PhP10.00 a piece. The titles are listed below. If you're interested, please transact with APL before December 31, 2006.
To look for a specific title, just use "Ctrl + F" then type the title you want because sometimes, the title you wanted is put in a bundle. Titles in "Bundles" are sold in a set and are cannot be purchased individually. Thanks!

Yah... that price is valid until I take that sign off. So, it would be good for you if I won't be able to update it soon, since I won't be able to erase that sign. I can't write a reason for the price drop. I don't want to think right now about the reason. My head hurts! >_< By the way, can you believe that I completed Oniisama E? And I thought it was hopeless. Hmmm... what else, the TWO TITLES that I really really really want to watch/have right now are the ones that ranked 1st and 2nd in my want list. I MUST HAVE THEM!!!!!!!!!

Hello! How are you doing, people? I'm updating my site now. I haven't acquired alot of titles in this update. I've really become very very very picky. Anyway, I recently watched Strawberry Panic, Jigoku Shoujo, and Nana. I can't come up with a deep comment with Strawberry Panic. I know I haven't watched the complete yet along with Nana. So, I'm basing my opinions on the first 12 episodes of the series. Strawberry Panic is like a tribute to those fans who got hung up with Maria-sama ga Miteru. Only, SP is giving a more "open" approach. On the other hand, Jigoku Shoujo was quite a thriller. The story is average but how the atmosphere was set in this anime left my hair standing especially in the last few eps... no... especially that ep with the wavy golden-haired girl. I've never been so scared watching an anime. Now, as for NANA.... yeah! NANA's the best! I really like it. And... yeah... I like it very much. I'm looking forward to seeing the succeeding episodes. I hope there will be more coming soon. ^_^x Cheers!

I planned to update my list on June. But then, I got my whole afternoon free today. I might as well update it now. I really had no real reasons for not updating this site earlier except that I was just being lazy... or... hmm... honestly, I was drooling over someone. So, I totally forgot about this site! :p Gomen APL! -_-' But I just can't help it. Yep... that person's stares and smiles just kept on haunting me. Never felt like this in a while. *_* Well, this would be a great inspiration! ^_^x
As for new titles, I finally completed Mai Otome and Gokujou Seitokai. Mai Otome was a little disappointment since I finished the series with a lot of questions in my head. Shizuru was freaky as always and Natsuki was cool. So, that should compensate a little. Gokujou Seitokai was very funny. I had watched an entire ep laughing my guts out. I couldn't breathe. I think it was the ep Cindy's mother visited the school. It was so entertaining. I mean, the characters were trying so hard to do a thing that they knew they're not good at. But in the end, they just increased their *cuteness* in the series. Rozen Maiden and Traumend were a good watch too. I like the first season better though. Shinku reminded me of Layla (Kaleido Star), rephrased that, Shinku was the doll reincarnation of Layla. <-- Solely my opinion, a kaleidostar addict. Ginban Kaleidoscope was fun as well but it was too short. Kaleidoscope may have some potential to be a 26-ep anime or something like that. Then, they could expound on the characters and stunts more. The series didn't left much imprint on me but I remembered I enjoyed it until the last ep. It's a very good romantic comedy. The recent anime shows I watched was the ones I watched yesterday. They were Kashimashi and REC. Kashimashi was totally weirdly funny. The new concept they introduced was the strange triangle between the characters. Why strange? Read the synopsis of the anime in a review site then do your imagination. And what's more... throw in a male bestfriend into the scene (episode 7 *I think*) and the whole thing seemed so confusing. Hazumu, the main character seemed realistic enough in terms of character and personality. So I'll give her the thumbs up. REC was a short series, 9 12-minute episodes. The characters are very likable. It was presented maturely and I was able to relate to one of the characters, so, that just how I was drawn to it.
Why am I reviewing this stuffs? As what I said earlier, I got my whole afternoon free so just excused my blabbering. And I'm very much inspired right now. I hope my inspiration won't disappoint me or else... I'll let loose my wild side. *growl* I'm supposed to add 60+ eps of Yakitate to my list but I had a hard time meeting up with the busy band-aide and having unanswered messages. ;_; Hopefully, I'll have more Yakitate on the next update.

Quickie update! Just want to announce that I'm already OPEN FOR TRADING. I'm also removing my Bargain List now. It's been awhile there and I think, majority of them, I've already disposed of. Yes, I'm still alive. ^_^x Sorry for the delayed update. I was so busy and I'll be busy still for the next five weeks. So, sorry to say this but I'm CLOSED FOR TRADING for the whole month of March 2006. I'm postponing all trades to April except those that are pending before February 20 and haven't gotten any notice from me regarding the suspension. The reason for this is that I'm so busy (overused word) with projects, researches, studies, etc. and I'm using my PC all the way so I couldn't burn copies as of the time being.
For this update, some of my wants have been realized like Legend of the Phoenix and Okusama wa Joshikosei. Alot of new titles have been added. My recommendations are Hana Yori Dango Live which is so much better than Meteor Garden from my own point of view since anyway, having a Japanese cast do a Japanese original is way better plus there's SHOTA MATSUDA!!! ^_____^x You've got to see him! My deepest gratitude to Peachy-sama for introducing me to him. #^_^# Paradise Kiss is also a good anime and the way CG was used to portray realistic art was breathtaking. The colors went together in harmony and never collided with each other or if they did, it didn't hurt my vision to scrutinized it to the fullest. The ED song of Parakiss is so entertaining including the dances by the characters in their half-chibi-half-actual form. Thanks band-aide! As for the wants that I had realized such as Legend of the Phoenix and Okusama, both was a disappointment in their storylines but they have some good points. In Legend of the Phoenix, Layla was the focus and perhaps after watching this OAV, you'll finally get to consume the "Layla essence". For Okusama, it's entertaining and funny but a waste in story. It's so shallow and will never get you anywhere. It's like watching their daily lives and that's that.

Happy New Year! How do you like the new layout? ^_^x Yah, my site just kept on getting smaller and smaller every version. The next version would be mini and the next one after that would be nano. ^_^x NAH! The next version would be later this year will be a whole lot different than my previous design. It's just that, I've been caught up with something else lately. To learn more about the new layout, just visit the "about" page. As usual, it contained the meaning and also, APL's "mission statement" (sort of) has been updated. This year, I'm hoping Glass Mask 2005 will be completed, Legend of the Phoenix OAV subbed would be released early and Ginban Kaleidoscope will be available complete in the next 6 months. ~yeah right~ Anyway, APL is already working on its 5th year of existence and still there! Happy Holidays! For that, I'm sharing the holidays with all anime enthusiasts out there. PhP35/CD for all items excluding the bargained CDs. This offer is from December 4-December 31, 2005 only. I already completed Tsubasa Chronicle for this update. There aren't much titles added though. I was more on watching the videos rather than collecting for the past few weeks. I finished Densha Otoko which is really a lovable jdrama starring Misaki Itoh (Natsuki of You're Under Arrest Live) as the lead female and a talented male lead. There will be chances that I won't be able to perhaps update this site for months but still, I'll try to polish this up especially during the Christmas break. Well then, Enjoy December y'all!

Sembreak is finally over. I wasn't able to acquire alot of titles this time. But I did get a title from my want list. Fantastic Children is of the list. Got it, watched it, liked it! ^_^x I removed some titles from my want list also such as 2x2 Shinobuden, Gakuen Alice, and Ultimate Girls. I still want to get them but I took off some of their weights from serious wish list. Instead, I replace them with Mai Otome, second season of Mai Hime though its story is far (and I mean totally different) from the first. I updated the rules again. And also, I just want to inform everybody to give me at least three days to respond to your mails. One thing for sure is that I won't be able to be online everyday. That's all folks!

I know I was suppose to update this site weeks ago. But again, I was too busy doing some important things. The first half of October was so hectic. And just when I was about to touch the computer again on the 19th, I got problems with the motherboard. So, off to the doctor my PC baby went to have a little massage of its own. *And I thought I was the only one who needs some relaxation*. Now what's new for today's updates. Some bargain titles were taken out but no new ones added, I did some rearranging with the CD locations, I got some new acquisitions which you can see below, and I did some updates in the rules section as well as created an improved "bargain" image. I finally acquired some of my wants. The biggest news of all is that I finally got the COMPLETE KALEIDO STAR 1-51 plus 52 special and after more than a year of wait! However, its place in my "want" box is taken by Glass Mask 2005 which I know has the same fate with Kaleido Star in terms of the subbing pace. I just hope the complete would get subbed in less than a year.

I removed Yume de Aetara from my VCD list, instead, I acquired alot of titles over the summer. I complete the season 1 of the Legend of Condor Hero, and got a good replacement for Popotan. I decided to make everything concise since I know I won't be having the luxurious time I once had. ;_-x Well anywayz, FAQ page's been removed and so is the html list. The whole list can be downloaded only in excel (or zipped). There won't be any discounted items for the next few months. I know I'll be very busy by then. I modified and improvised a few things like the APL Profile & Aims as well as the Trade/Distro Rules. As much as I am growing and getting old myself, APL tends to grow mature as well with a lot of realizations and new intentions for its existence. #^_^#

MOST RECENTLY WATCHED ANIME: Jubei-Chan Season 2 July 5, 2004
I've always love watching Jubei-chan: Secret of the Lovely Eyepatch (Season 1). The action sequences were quite cool. The story was unique also in a way that the theme focused on the bonding between a father and a daughter. I was hesitant to watch Jubei-chan Season 2 in a way that perhaps I would just be disappointed. But I was wrong. Revenge of the Siberian Yagyu (Season 2) was as cool as the 1st Season. Then, Ayonusuke is so darn cute. Freasha is funny. I just found out that Horie Yui was the seiyuu of Jiyu. Didn't know that at first. But I'm glad that she did Jiyu's voice. She's great! Hori Yui btw is the seiyuu of Naru in Love Hina. ^_+x

We added a few titles in the database. Oh! My Goddess is the discounted item for the month of July. I added a new section on the home page. I wanted to keep track on the anime I had watched.
MOST RECENTLY WATCHED ANIME: Read or Dream TV June 26, 2004 Read or Dream TV is set 5 years after Read or Die OAV. The series can be divided into 2 parts with Ep. 14 that separates them. Artwork is great. The studio that work on this anime is JC Staff, the same that worked on Shingetsutan Tsukihime. The characters were enjoyable but not that interesting. The plot was good but I don't find it moving though. The ending was not that touching. After watching Read or Dream TV, it urged me to watch Read or Die OAV again. I like the action scenes for both anime.

Bakuretsu Hunters is the discounted item for the month of June. I added a few titles to the collection.
As for the Favorites section, Tsukihime have just grabbed the top spot in the list. I haven't watched a decent anime in a long time and I'm glad that I was able to watch Tsukihime. I didn't think that such anime could exist. Artwork is superb! Story is quite impressive! If it was a book, it's definitely a page-turner. Not to mention that the characterization was perfectly done. The synopsis may not seem to reveal this anime as somewhat good or better than the others but it's when you watch it that you'll get to taste the fresh meat. It's full of mystery and the events are totally unpredictable. It's just a short anime composed of 12 episodes but it surely feels like 50 since every second of the show contains a lot of things that makes an audience totally glued to their seats.
