What's New at Dreams of Reality

6/12/02: I've just discovered that my e-mail form, which worked fine for a long time, has been zapped by the newly reconfigured Yahoo/GeoCities. My apologies for anyone who's tried to e-mail me recently and received no reply. I have no idea how long this has been going on, but now that I'm aware of the problem, I've devised my own solution. Click here to e-mail me.

5/17/01: Middle-Earth Tours has moved to bigger and better digs, on the server for theonering.net. To visit me in my new home, click here.

3/4/01: At long last, what may be my final Dreams of Reality story is online. It ties up some, but not all, of my loose ends, and at least partially explains why I'm taking an indefinite break from the series. The story is called "Love, Hate and Fury," and you can find it
here. (BTW, I will continue to update Middle-earth Tours on a regular basis.

2/15/01: Middle-earth Tours was rated "A" by Entertainment Weekly in its review of the best Lord of the Rings sites on the web!

10/30/00: My latest strategy in the war against spammers is to abandon my old Juno address and get a new one from a provider who knows the meaning of spam protection. On top of that, from now on you can e-mail me by using this very simple form.

8/17/00: Combining two of my current obsessions, I've added a parody to the Lord of the Rings section of this site: Survivor, Lord of the Rings Style. Have a look.

4/18/00: I've updated my new "Middle-earth Tours" section with images from the upcoming movies -- both pics from the official site (and preview trailer) and spy pics from other sources. Have a look.

2/17/00: At last, I've finished another new story! This one belongs in the new Middle-earth wing of my website. It's not part of the Dreams of Reality cycle, but instead is a "what-if" story called The Birth of a Nazgul If you've read Lord of the Rings, you already understand. If you haven't read LotR, you can still enjoy the story. Have a look!

10/11/99: I am proud to announce the opening of a whole new wing to this website, created specifically for all you Tolkien fans out there. Middle-earth Tours will enable you to take a virtual tour of the significant people, places and events in Middle Earth history--without forcing you to choose between squinty little thumbnail images and 700K giant scans. I've culled the best Lord of the Rings artwork available on the web, reduced the images to a reasonable size (i.e., big enough to see, but not too big to load comfortably), arranged them by category, and added in quotes from the Professor himself. I don't know of any other LotR website that's taken quite this approach. Come have a look.

7/16/99: New in the bookstore: I've just recently discovered Brit author Neil Gaiman, a hugely gifted fantasy/horror writer whose stories focus on (among other things) the king of dreams and the furies. Don't ask me why it took so long for me to find him; I'm still scratching my head over that one, myself. :-/

1/2/99: I've recently added a Dreamworld FAQ, for all you obsessive-compulsive types (like me), and I've updated the Take Vengeance on Spam page with new information that makes it even quicker and easier to track the originating server.

12/28/98: Well, I've finally finished my latest story, just in time for the new year. It's an (attempted) murder mystery called "Columbo Queen," and you can access it here. You'll also notice that I've gone back and divided all the old stories up into subsections to reduce their loading time, so if you haven't read everything yet, now's a good time to go back and have a look. ;-)

11/24/98: Sorry, still no new story--I'm just incredibly busy. But I have added a Take Vengeance on Spam page to help you hit those nasty buggers where they live, and also two pages of pictures from the upcoming Star Wars prequel. Yeah, yeah, I know that last doesn't technically have anything to do with "Dreams of Reality," but you aren't really sorry, are you?

2/21/98: Finally finished that Enric story I've been promising you all--check it out here and let me know if you like it. :-) I've also done a little HTML tweaking to make the pages easier to navigate, and I've changed a few graphics here and there.

9/11/97: Just added: a poem contributed by my friend and fellow dual Galadriel; and a new page, "About the Author." I'm also writing another adventure (this one about Enric), but won't make any promises about when it'll be finished.

7/24/97: I've joined another webring and have been working all week on a new look for my index page. All the graphics are courtesy of Ann Stretton, my favorite Internet artist. Check out her site--you won't be disappointed.

7/18/97: Don't ask me why, but I'm just now getting around to putting in a guestbook. I hope you'll take the time to sign it--go here.

7/17/97: Part 4 of "Blood and Water" is now online. I will try to have the rest of the story finished by July 18th.

6/23/97: Part 3 of "Blood and Water" is now online. Don't expect Part 4 before the first weekend in July; I'll be going on out town for a few days.

6/20/97: Part 2 of "Blood and Water" is now online.

6/14/97: The first section of my latest story, "Blood and Water," is now online. I am going to try to post a little bit every week until it's done--probably in about five sections. Just don't sue me if I fail!

5/22/97: I think I've got some more appropriate graphics now (fingers crossed), and I have just begun work on my newest story. I don't have a title yet, but it takes place on a trans-oceanic voyage.

5/15/97: I am in the process of changing the graphics on my main page, ever since learning that they weren't black and white, as I thought, but pastel-colored (@#$% limited-palette monitor!) If the new graphics are still pastel, or if you know where I can get some appropriate black/white/silver graphics, please drop me a line. BTW, I am also planning out the next storyline in my head and hope to begin writing soon.

3/29/97: "Starts with a 'Z'" is now complete--in four parts, not three!

3/20/97: Added some sharp new graphics to my main page, courtesy of Laurie McCanna and Randy Ralph

3/12/97: Dreams of Reality has just been accepted into GeoCities' "Featured Page" program! Look for me soon on the Area51 main page!

3/10/97: Part 2 of Chapter 3, "Starts with a Z," is now online. Part 3 will follow by month's end.

3/3/97: Part 1 of Chapter 3, "Starts with a Z," is now online.

3/1/97: The "What's New" page! ;)
