Friends of Vidisha (FOV) is an association of people who studied at S S L Jain College, Vidisha, MP, India.
Vidisha is a very small city in Madhya Pradesh, India, though famous for professional colleges like
Samrat Ashok Technical Institute (SATI), S S L Jain College etc. This group mainly consist of people
came from Kerala, the southern most state of India nicknamed as “God’s own country” for its breath taking
natural beauty and rich culture.
The idea of FOV was introduced by our friend George Varghese a.k.a Sakhave Reji, with the encouragements from Iype, Sunil T.M, Lalu John, Thomas Mathew, Reji (leading advocates in Kerala) with the prayer and encouragement received from Reverend Nixon Daniel. The vision is to bring together the professionals under the circle of friendship and remember the pleasant time we all shared at S S L Jain College. The first name that comes to our mind is Mr. K C Nair respectfully called as ‘Nair Sir’ who was the principal of S S L Jain College and later became the Vice Chancellor of Barkatullah University, Bhopal, MP. It is he who opened the way and access to all of us to pursue a professional career and achieve high goals in life. We remember his dedicated leadership and services to the college and to the community. It is a matter of joy and for the Glory of God Almighty to mention that we all attained an amazing career from S S L Jain College which placed us in wonderful positions in life. Our friends have spread across this globe with respect to their professions and hold various respectful positions in the society wherever they are. We could proudly say that FOV consists of well respected professionals’ viz. Attorneys, Doctors, Professors, IT Professionals, Managers, and Businessmen. As per the vision of FOV, we are here to enrich our friendship and to care and support for one another. |
