Easter

Acts 12:4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.
The underlined word Easter is actually a heathen term that appears only here in this one verse. The actual word is passover in all the available manuscripts for Acts Chapter 12. The word Easter is actually an old English word for an even older Saxon Pagan goddess Eastre, the equivalent of Arstarte, the Syrian Venus, called Ashtoreth in the Old Testament.

The Pagan celebration of Easter is based on the fable of a bird flying over the sea and laying a beautiful golden egg. The egg fell into the sea and was washed up on the shore. The sunlight caused the golden egg to display many bright reflective colors. The warmth of the sun caused the egg to hatch, producing the pagan goddess Eastre, (Arstarte) who the fable said had beautiful wings and that she flew off into the sun.

The pagan ritual of celebration was to come to the seashore and face east and worship the sun at sunrise, with a sunrise ceremony, by rolling brightly colored eggs in the sand with the carrying off of virgins into the woods and performing all sorts of depravity.

A lot of the pagan rituals have found their way into the celebration of our Savours ultimate sacrifice on the cross, a pollution and great disrespect of His Sacrifice.

To properly celebrate this season is to observe the Lord's Last Supper known to true Christians as "The Sacrament".

How do you celebrate Passover. Is it as a true Christian worshiper, observing the Lord's Last Supper as commanded, or is it as a pagan worshiper with brightly colored eggs and sunrise services?

That's all folks on this page.
There is much more in His Word.
