A small pond at the
edge of the property provides a source if irrigation water for crops via
a pump and hose system. Occasionally, wild ducks come for a visit as well
as trout that swim in from the feeder brook. A large number of blue
flag iris thrive in the swampy ground surrounding the pond.
Biscuit, the resident dog, also is very fond of visiting the pond for a drink or a quick paddle...or just to check for ducks. Age is creeping up on Biscuit and at 13, he now prefers to paddle in the feeder brook, rather than plunge in!
