This is a continuous line design that is quilted from one edge to the other covering the entire quilt, including borders.

Meandering

from $2.00 per sq. foot

An overall random pattern, which can vary in size and theme depending on the quilt and customer preference.

Stippling

$4.00 per sq. foot

This is a fine, random pattern, either puzzle-shaped or loops, used to enhance a specific area.

Custom

Priced individually

Anything not considered edge to edge, is considered custom quilting. Custom includes micro-patterns, trapunto, medallions, centered designs, etc., which require markings or many stops and starts.

Basting is $1.00 per square foot and is basted at 4-inch intervals unless otherwise specified.

Binding is $0.15 per linear inch and is hand bound, unless machine binding is requested.

Threads

I offer a wide variety of colours at no additional charge. Decorative threads are available and additional costs may incur.

Examples of pricing

Twin:       60“ x 80“ / 144  = 34 sq. ft. x $2.75 = $93.50

Double: 74” x 100” / 144 = 52 sq. ft. x $2.75  = $143.00

Queen: 84” x 100” / 144 = 59 sq. ft. x $2.75 = $160.42

King:       104” x 104” / 144 = 75 sq. ft. x $2.75 = $206.55

The minimum mounting / quilting fee is $35.00.

Batting

I can supply different battings, or you can supply your own. Batting must be 6 inches larger in length and width to accommodate shrinkage that occurs in quilting.

Currently I have:

   Hobbs 80/20% cotton/poly batting 120” wide:  $10.50/metre

   Hobbs Extra-loft poly batting 108” wide: $11.00/metre

   Hobbs Bleached, 100% Cotton 90” wide: $11.50/metre
