to MD. This is the second iteration. Finally
something new was added - the Aiwa information.

Sony MD Microphone Preamplifier: Taking a look at the part between your mic and the impenetrable custom ic. Also contains a table down the bottom relating headroom, mic sensitivity, volume - perhaps of interest if you've ever experienced distortion recording on a Sony.

Superficial ATRAC Investigation: In which
I examine the effects of ATRAC using Spectrogram. You can play with
this one at home. It contains large graphics files - 400k or so of
graphics - so be patient. (After a certain Mr. Brand's urging
I was really hoping to produce a difference signal,
but synchronisation problems made it extremely difficult.)
So that's about it for now, a few other things on the back burner, but I wouldn't expect anything for a while.
However - I particularly want to know more about the Sharp
and the Panasonic microphone preamplifiers. The most important
thing I want to know is the input level at which these preamplifiers clip.
