First Christian Church
(Disciples of Christ)

History

First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Missoula was first organized in 1885. The first building was dedicated in 1891 on the corner of Broadway and Washington Streets. The current building was dedicated in May of 1960. The bell in the tower on the northeast corner of the property comes from the original building, as do the two stained glass panels in the front of our sanctuary. Throughout its history and life together, this congregation has remained focused on serving the needs of the people and families of Missoula as well as Christian missions throughout the world. We are an active and growing community of faith always seeking ways to serve in the name of Jesus Christ.
