PPK marked RZM

The PP's and PPK's that were marked RZM were for the National-Sozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, better known as the NSDAP, or Nazi Party. They were marked for the purchasing branch who procured equipment and materials for the Third Reich. In German this was the Reichzeugmeisterei. Most Walther PP's and PPK's were distributed to the SS and the SA. Many others that were purchased had the initials of smaller organizations engraved on the pistol's front or back strap. There are many such smaller organizations and not all have been identified.

The RZM mark can be found on the left side of the slide just forward of the slide serrations. Some of these pistols ended up with the Party Leader grips that are mentioned on the main page.
