The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (1972) (Disney)

Synopsis:
Watch as Winnie the Pooh gets stuck in Rabbit's front door, impersonates a rain cloud to get honey, survives wind and rain and floods, -- this is starting to sound a little like the latest disaster flick -- to reaffirm his friendship with Christopher Robin.

Availability:
On moratorium, though you may find a few copies at stores still.

Cast/Crew:
Sterling Holloway                Winnie the Pooh
        The Jungle Book

Miscellaneous:
This film was a collection of shorts, released individually, combined ala the package features of the late Forties (Make Mine Music, Fun and Fancy Free, etc.).
Within the last five years, Disney has made the characters of this film one of their main merchandising points.
The film has spawned a successful television cartoon series, as well as a direct to video sequel Pooh's Grand Adventure.

MPAA Rating:
    G

My Rating:
I used to enjoy this film.  However, I've only watched it once since I bought the video several months ago.  I feel that it is great for children -- the lessons are directed specifically toward a younger audience.  If you cannot tell from above, I've developed a sort of skepticism around Pooh -- not the film, but rather the Disney Company's complete infiltration of everything being Pooh.  Okay, so much for the proverbial soapbox.
