Night At The Movies

Dumbo (1941) (Disney)

Synopsis:

Dumbo, an elephant, was born with larger than normal ears.  He is made fun of, and his mother gets angry with some circus goers as a result of their stupidity.  A mouse named Timothy befriends Dumbo and helps him through his problems.  Unfortunately, Dumbo becomes a clown, and is forced to humiliate himself in their act.  After a night where he accidentally drinks some alcohol, he and Timothy find themselves in a tree, the only explination being that Dumbo flew up there.  They learn that by spreading his ears, Dumbo can fly, and he becomes the star attraction of the circus.

    G  Some alcohol, accepted.

My Rating:
This is a really good film.  It shows that someone can overcome their circumstances and rise above the problems others place on them. ****
