Some of my favorite websites to visit, in no particular order . . .

Fanfiction.Net

The Holy Grail of fanfic nuts everywhere. Not certain about how many fics are archived here, but it has to be near or over 100,000, since there are almost 70,000 for Harry Potter alone. The quality of the fics can go from very good to downright awful, but it's a nice place to start.

Fiction Alley

If ff.net is the Holy Grail for fanfic nuts, then FA is the Holy Grail for Potter freaks. It doesn't have as many fics as ff.net, but all of the fics are reviewed by real people who are good at what they do, so the quality is much better. There's also Ficion Alley Park, a message board that a lot of the authors use. Home to Cassandra Claire's Draco Trilogy.

noire.sensus

A nice HP slash archive. The fics have all been hand-selected, so they're very good. Features quite a few pairings, most of them yaoi, with a few yuri. Contains NC-17 as well as lower ratings, so if that's your thing . . .

Writer's Univeristy

A nice fanfic author's resource. Has some interesting articles, as well as tips for writing and the like.

Elfwood

Really nifty art site, to which I also belong. This is mostly for beginners, so there's some not-so good stuff (including mine) in there with the good stuff. This site is huge, however, and you can find a lot of quality works.

Epilogue

Elfwood's older sibling. There are a lot of professional artists with galleries here, so the amount of excellent art is almost overwhelming. I definitely recommend that you check this out if you're looking for good fantasy/sci-fi art -- some of the galleries you'll find here are flat out amazing, from Socar Myles' to Stephanie Law's.
