I am known as EquineGuy, Equitatious Neurologicus Crazicus.
And who is EquineGuy?Just another run of the mill 30 y/o guy trying to do something with his life
So far, I have been pleased with how things have been going. You fall down, get back up. Someone hits you, suck it up and figure out why, then act appropriatly.
If you fail miserably and look goofy... well, HEY! Smile and join the crowd!
Not bad for a guy....
- Started off in 1982 with a Commodore 64 and an Indus GT floppy drive, did some fun programming in Basic 3.0 and ML, obtained the memory map book and that allowed me to create a few programs for fun.... which led to reverse engineering and code cracking, disecting tracks and sectors, unlocking half-formats, creating hidden programs now known as 'viruses'... back in the day, we called them small code lines that prevented my friends from copying our programs, OR the other thing to do was Hex edit our names into program intros and re-distributed them.
- Then came my first IBM. Hated it!! If you wanted sound, you needed to buy a card.... no more VIC chip.
It was so.. soo... modular.
Then they put a tight security lock down on any books relating to the 286 memory chip and its addresses.
That spoiled a lot of fun.
- 1986 - Became active in Fire and Rescue. Took my EMT-A class, then Fire Fighter 1, Haz-mat... and everything else I could possibly get.
Started working at a regular vet clinic, couple years later moved up to the Emergency Vet Center.
- 1989 - Obtained my Cardiac Technician, ACLS, BTLS, PALS, NALS, PHTLS and other 4 letter words. Then began working on Technical rescue certs
Eventually working my way to my National Registry Paramedic, FF-II, Aircraft Crash Rescue, Fire Ofc 1, Verticle Rescue Instructor, Tactical Medic, Domestic terrorism and cool stuff like that.
- 1996 - Started doing network stuff, hosting chat rooms, Internet safety, Network admin, Virus disection, Security, ended up hanging around some groups that did phreaking, hacking, cracking, etc.
Learned about horses
Learned HTML-3 and started building web pages for fun
- Started working some side hours at the FBI acadamy at Quantico, Va. Practical Applications Unit ( PAU )
- 1999 - Things became out of hand and to risky... so I backed out of the internet scene. Being Anonymous was fine, but as with most things.. stay in it long enough... its gets to you.
So I continued the life saving stuff and running into fires. ( Most people run out of fires )
There is a powerful feeling associated with certain scenarios, for instance... when someone tries to die on you... and your reply is, "Not on my shift"
Needless to say, some of the best things I have done in my life were...
- Stay with animals
- Get into horses
- Not grow up
- Learn to communicate better
- And umm... eat chocolate
Soooo, not much to it. Now I am a happy horse owner and maintain cruising speed.
:-/
Feel free to take a peek at one of the web sites I have worked on. Some graphics designs, buttons design and layout work.
( And BIG thanks to Big John for doing all the written content. All the SOP's, etc. Mega time consuming work! )

Here I am doing a "Pick-off" from 50 feet, which basically is where I attach someone to my rope system because their rope system failed, and I descend controlling both of us.
