OUR FAMILY

Kyle, our middle daughter, started riding when she was 2 1/2 years old. She went to a couple shows in her first year of riding and although she didn't quite have her posting down, she had a ball riding her favorite horse, Lady Diedre, and having Daddy take her into her classes.

Andrea, our oldest daughter, is now 18. She started riding when she was 3 years old and spent quite a few years riding Lady Diedre also. She rode Diedre to many wins in both the Lead Line and Walk Trot divisions. When she moved up to Junior Exhibitor, she showed our Travis as a 4 year old and cleaned up that year. They won the CT Morgan Horse Association High Point Award in Junior Exhibitor and took Reserve in the Fitting and Showing. They were awesome that year. Andrea is currently not riding as her boyfriend is her priority in her life right now but she still loves the horses.

Michael, my husband, has a Paso Fino named Pedro. They have spent many days exploring the woods of Connecticut together. Mike would like to join a trail riding club that does camping with their horses. When we ever get the farm in order and have everything the way we want it, he will have more time to do this. He has also showed Pedro at several shows for gaited breeds and done very well with him.

Lisa, that's me, has been riding since I was 7. I have ridden hunt seat, saddle seat, western, dressage, jumping and I have also driven. I got my first horse, Darvale Odyssey (Windcrest Mr. Success x Carousel), when I was 12 and he was 2. I did most of the training, with supervision, and started showing him locally and at some A shows when he was 4. At 5, we took him to Pierre Loiselle, who guided us through two wonderful show seasons and many wins. My father took over showing Success by learning to drive and he showed him for many years and to many wins also. Success was retired at 13 and shortly after, sold to Mary Wassung of North Stonington, CT. She still enjoys trail riding and driving Success who is now 28. I haven't had much time in that last few years to ride or show as I have been having babies of my own. Kyle, mentioned above, who will be 4 in March 1999 and Taylor who is 1 1/2. I have been spending more of my time with the breeding end of the business and hope to get back out and start working with the new foals coming in July.

Taylor Here's our youngest at not quite 2 riding the neighbor's pony. This little daredevil will be riding around by herself in no time. She is quite aggressive and has no fear and willing to try anything.
