I have been watching Star Trek since I was a kid. I like the action in Star Trek the most, but the uniforms and the technical stuff are the only things I don't like. Also if anyone asks, I AM NOT A TREKIE!!!!!
There are many people I know who find Star Trek uninteresting and boring, but I can understand why. When I was in school, science and math were some of my favorite subjects, and Star Trek shows science in action. In addition, the best part of each episode is that it tries to encompass a certain moral or ethic, through the characters interactions with each other and other species. I admit there are some things that I don't get in the show, such as how a starship works, but the action and a good story makes up for it. Not to mention, I am also a sci-fi/fantasy fan.
I was not born to watch the original cast of the
television show, with Kirk and Spock, but when I was about 11 or 12 I started to
watch Star Trek: The Next
Generation. When The Next Generation ended, Deep Space Nine and
Voyager came out. My first impressions of the shows did not interest
me. Both shows had a rocky start, but later got better.

Captain Kirk and his crew were the first to put
Star Trek in the movies. I was too young to remember Kirk because I was
only 0-11 years old when those movies came out. The generation I consider
myself to be is of The Next Generation (No pun intended). The best
Star Trek movies I have liked are Star Trek: Generations and Star Trek: First
Contact.
