(Homestay)
We also have another option available for those students who wish it. This is the ability to stay with a local Mexican family who are willing and welcome students into their homes. This is also one of the most beneficial ways to learn in our program, and we urge you to take it, for it gives you a first hand experience of what it is like to live in a Mexican family.
While staying in a family, you will have access to a clean private room and delicious home-cooked meals. Safe water is also provided, and warm water for showering as well. Please inform us if you have any special dietary needs, as arrangements can be made. This is also an excellent opportunity to practise your Spanish.
Casa Mexicana (Homestay) includes:
Personal Room/Share Room
Meals throughout the day (unless of course you wish to try one of the many street vendors or restaurants)
Help with the city
Your own House key
Clean sheets
This full room and board with a specially chosen Mexican host family costs: US$130.00 per week.
Home stay is available through either our SpringBell Yucateca Program or our Simply Spanish Program. Other more private arrangements, such as an apartment or hotel can also be made if you so desire. Please contact us for more information.
