EBMEC 2002 is the first international biannual conference on Ballistics and Computational Mechanics, providing an overview of new developments, applications, and trends in Internal and External Ballistics, Shock and Impact Problems, Fluid-Structure Interaction, New Developments in Computational Techniques and Software, Explosion.
EBMEC 2002 is open for faculty members, researchers, specialists and graduate students around the world. The meeting will be held at the Brazilian Navy Research Institute, in Rio de Janeiro. Authors and researchers are invited to submit manuscripts on all aspects and fields of the Ballistics Science. Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):

Work submission
The Organizing Committee and the Wessex Institute of Technology are in negotiations in order to have the event proceedings printed by the WIT Press. The Organizing Committee is also negotiating the publication of the best works in the periodic Communications in Numerical Methods in Engineering.
