I am a product of the University of San Francisco, and of U. C. Berkeley. I was a registered nurse, who left that field to enter another--education. It was in education that I found exactly where I should have been from the very beginning!
I have two favorite and time-consuming hobbies: First are the faeries, gnomes and other little people, my faerie garden web site and Suite 101 where I publish either an article or a fantasy short story every Friday. To this end, I collect Department 56 Village pieces into which my faerie collection can and does often extend. I have faeries, gnomes, little elves and pixies, and their own little village, which I have landscaped with its appropriate theme gardens. So, I am consumed with folklore and fantasy.
Second: I collect doll houses and miniatures. I hope soon to have a home page on this exciting hobby. I like to do many things, when I can get away from all of my minis: traveling, walking on the beach, fishing, going to the fitness center, relaxing in a spa, working in my garden and reading and creative writing.
A favorite friend and loving companion is Sir Lyndale White Snow of McAlpin, my darling 8-year-old Bichon Frise, who answers to the name of Little Bear. He is as human as any canine could possibly get, but I will refrain from boring you with his qualities!
I belong to many organizations, but for the purpose of this site, I enjoy membership in the MacFie Clan Society, and the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism).
You asked my age? Well, I'll tell you this: Age is of no consequence in cyberspace! But I will give you this little hint--if you visit my genealogy site, I do tell it there!
