The Espionage RPG
Introduction
As a result of all the espionage adventures on #cadegazux, I figured that a specialised system would work better than Risus (which is a joke anyway really). In this game the players are spies, secret agents, or whatever else would be useful in the situation. The system is designed around a modern setting, but could probably work in more historical settings with a few changes.
Basics
Each character has a number of skills (listed below). Depending on what the level of the skill is, you roll a die whenever you use an action. If the result is higher than the number the GM declares to be the difficulty, the action is a success.

For example, lets say you wanted to try hacking into a computer system. The GM considers it a reasonably secure system and so gives it a difficulty of 5. If you had a considerable (level 3) skill in electronics youd have to roll a d8 and hope you get a 6, 7 or 8.
Character Creation
After coming up with a description of your characters appearance, personality and background, assign 25 points to the skills relevant to your character. To get a level in a skill costs that many points (i.e. level one costs 1 point, whereas level 2 costs 2 etc.).
