The spider builds nest between leaves. The pictures above shows the female protecting her eggs sac. Notice that there are many empty shells one the eggs sac. Some young has hatched and did the first moulting. They are hiding under their mother and gain the protection.

Huntsman spiders wait for prey on tree trunk where the other insects will pass. The spiders usually active at night, although we sometimes see them hunting during the day.

Notice its front two pairs of legs are much longer than tha back.
