They are shiny orange in colour with eleven black spots forming three bands on their wing-covers. We saw this ladybird only a few times. The first time we found them hunting the aphids among the Milkweed plants in Macgregor bushland.

The second time we saw it near the Bulimba Creek in Wishart, hunting on tall grasses. From the pictures we took, the black dots pattern are a little different. They vary a bit between individals.
