The Threadtail Damselflies are usually small in size, and their abdomen are pin-thin. Their wings are usually clean. We found only one species of this family in Brisbane area.

The above pictures was taken near a pond in Eight Mile Plains in Brisbane during mid summer, where quite a number of different damselflies and dragonflies can be found. The damselfly has a yellow thorax with black patterns. The abdomen is black with yellow strips. More information on this page.
