Robbie Williams has written to his ex-lover Nicole Appleton's new man Bush singer Gavin Rossdale, after their bust up at a gig which I revealed last week. "Sorry for tripping you up. You can get me back next time, Chopper. - Williams" Taken from People Magazine.

Robbie Williams has been left bedridden by the strains of stardom - and he can't even get up for his hero James Bond. The singer has pulled out of a number of projects following his disappointing tour of America. Robbie bowed out of a spot on the new series of the music show Apocalypse Tube when he fled the stage moments before playing with Sir Paul McCartney. His close friend and housekeeper says the star is just too tired to move and has taken to his bed. She said: "He's physically exhausted and needs time off. He's sleeping all the time and just can't manage to get out of bed." And the star, who would love to play the part of 007, even missed out on the British premiere of the movie last night. His housekeeper added: "He would've loved to have gone, but I just don't think he was up to it." Taken from Lazy Days Mailing list. Read more about Robbie's condition in Articles.

During the taping of a special edition of seminal television music show The Tube, Robbie Williams did a runner just as he was due to perform a grand finale with Sir Paul McCartney. The star's aides attempted to explain his disappearance, claiming that he was exhausted. Read more about it in the Articles section.

Robbie Williams has become the face of children's charity UNICEF, holding a press conference at the Bethnal Green Museum Of Childhood in east London, pledging his commitment to the UNICEF cause. He said that children should refuse to be broken by their situations and should try to follow his lead. "They need to have a dream and stay strong to that dream. That is exactly what I have had to tell myself. I'm lucky, I've got a talent. I can sell records. I want to do all I can to help." One of Williams' first commitments to his new role will be a visit to Sri Lanka to mark 10 years of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Taken from Top Magazine. On Saturday, January 15, 2000, Robbie will appear on VH1's Hard Rock Live at Midnight ET/PT.

Robbie Williams saw purple at The Artist Formerly Known As Prince on the TOTP show last night. The Robster was infuriated that everyone including himself had to clear the backstage area of Studio M - a chilling out place for all guests because The Artist would allow nobody to be present for security reasons while he was being interviewed. Robbie, himself riding high at No.1, could not believe The Artist's excessive demands and angrily came on to perform his set using so many swear words the TOTP audience were left in no doubt of his feelings. This had been the culmination of The Artists' requests as he'd also demanded extra dressing rooms and shed loads of security men. However, when Robbie had composed himself he performed a brill rendition of his top single She's The One! Taken from Top of The Pops.

Robbie is scheduled to perform in two Jingle Ball conerts, one in New York and the other in California, in December. I'll post the dates to these soon.

Rob lost the European Music Awards to Will Smith.

(Taken from Yahoo) 29th October 1999 - Robbie flops in America Robbie Williams has been left devastated after his American dream was shattered by poor ticket sales. The singer had hoped for a sell-out finale to his tour this weekend - but hundreds of tickets remain unsold, and one gig at the Austin Music Hall, Texas, has been dropped. The cancellation is being billed as a management decision, but insiders admit the concert was "far from sold out". While The Pet Shop Boys easily sold out Houston's Ariel Theatre with fans paying £19 a seat, Williams can't get anywhere near capacity with his tickets going for £12.50. A source at America's Star Tickets said: "There's plenty of tickets left for that concert, and even on the night of the gig getting hold of a ticket will be easy." Distressed Williams is now pinning his hopes on the US release of Angels, that he admits saved his career in Britain.
