Tuneal: Part 2

"Lecirnor, I never would of guessed," Tuneal said, looking down at the rare purple Amisserath.  "I mean, I knew that you could Impress, but I guess that from what you told me of Frida and Arkaday, I really wasn't expecting you to get it."

Lecirnor smiled.  "It's okay," She said.  "I wasn't either, but now that Amisserath has chosen me, I wouldn't ever trade her for those two silly whites!  But, of course, I'm glad that Frida and Arkaday Impressed," Lecirnor added.

"Her body build is exactly like Serlienth's, and if it wasn't for the color differance, I'd say that they were twins," Tuneal said, and Lecirnor nodded.

"That's what an X-Purple, or true purple, is supposed to look like," She said.  "The Amathysts look more like regular Ocean Side Dragons.  That's just another thing that makes my wonderful Amisserath even rarer, I guess."

But it was choosing Lecirnor that made me rarest in your eyes, wouldn't that be right, Tuneal? Amisserath asked, and in a split-second, he knew that Lecirnor hadn't heard what the purple had said to him.  And just because you like my rider, you shouldn't be afraid to hide it.  I think that you might ride a dragon one day.

Tuneal didn't scoff out loud, but instead began to speak to Amisserath.  I don't really think that I'll Impress.  Lecirnor has you, and truly, only turquoises and shadows are worthy of you.  At best, I have a chance at a blue.  I probably won't even be Searched at all.

The purple chuckled, and Tuneal realized that the dragonet sounded much like Lecirnor.  Tuneal, you don't have to be Searched to stand.  If you live at Ocean Side, then you may stand here without being Searched.  And if any blue chose you, then he would be worthy of me.  Any dragon that chooses you, actually, is worthy of me.  None other.

"Tuneal?" Lecirnor asked, and Tuneal turned his head to look at her.  "You looked like you were spacing out or something..." A smile spread over her face.  "Or were you talking to Amisserath?" She asked mischeviously.

Tuneal smiled.  "Guilty as charged," He chuckled.  "But she had some very interesting things to say," He added.

"What?" Lecirnor asked curiously.

"She said that if I lived at Ocean Side, I could stand without being officialy Searched," Tuneal replied happily.  "And I was to be posted to a Weyr soon, so perhaps Ocean Side would be perfect.  What do you think?"

Lecirnor began to smile even more.  "There's a green clutching soon, Wiayth, and no one's sure of what colors she'll clutch, but I guess that we ought to wait and see, huh?" She asked, and Tuneal nodded.  Her eyes went unfocused for a split-second.  "And Amisserath thinks that you're good enough to Impress," She added.

"I don't," Tuneal admitted.  "But I'm going to stand anyway, and try my luck.  I'll have to speak to Christina and Amaykala, perhaps even Falycon, if I'm going to."

Lecirnor gestured over to where the Weyrwoman was standing.  "Well, here's your chance," She said.  "Go and talk to her!"
