The Mad Hatter's Teaparty

Through the eye of reason and beyond...

"For the snark was a boojum you see.." Lewis Carroll (The Hunting for the Snark)
Well I've finally had a chance to surf around the turbulent tides of the web! I've been to many places and seen many things.
I wish I could remember all the really cool places I've been to, alas my memory retention is of a finite human capacity. But, fortunately I remembered a few of the pages I visited, and which were of special interest to me.
So, what interests me?

Well...tough question really, because there isn't a lot which doesn't.
My main preoccupations at the moment, apart from my studies in Philosophy and Maths at King's College London,
are eating, losing sleep and hopelessly trying to complete past homework sheets. A life which no doubt will sound familiar to a lot of other students. Whenever I do manage to obtain some of that precious commodity known as time I try to immerse myself in a relaxing pool of culture and knowledge-and update my webpage. I'm currently working on a better version of this page and I hope to get it up and running within the next few weeks.

The Carroll connection

I have only recently joined the ranks of ,what I expect are, thousands of admirers of Lewis Carroll. And I must confess the influence has been profound.
I remember being introduced to Carroll, when my dad bought me a beautifully illustrated copy of Alice in Wonderland for my birhtday, in the dim and distant past. I also recall the book being the source of many childhood nightmares!
I suppose I wasn't ready to stomach the surreal atmosphere of the book. Actually, come to think of it, I remember Disney's Fantasia having similar effects on my childhood sleeping patterns...especially the song where the brooms come alive.
Anyway, looking around nowadays, it seems Carroll is one of the most frequently quoted writers and curiously he is mostly quoted in scientific contexts. Why?

Hope you enjoy.
