Greetings:
The American International School of Niamey exists to serve the American, Nigerien, and the International communities of Niger. We welcome qualified students of all nationalities and backgrounds. Our small class size allows teachers to provide individualized instruction and support.

At AISN we are committed to community based learning, and make every effort to provide students with opportunities to learn more about the people and country of Niger.

The American International School of Niamey Mission

  • Educate students from diverse cultures to achieve excellence in their intellectual and personal development.
  • Provide a dynamic and enriched American curriculum taught by qualified, dedicated, and caring staff.
  • Work in partnership with families to prepare students to flourish in higher education and become responsible, productive global citizens.
  • Strive towards continuous and sustained improvement in the quality of its educational services.

The flagship of our community based learning program is the weeklong Camp Hamdallaye experience. During this week we transform the village of Hamdallaye into the AISN classroom. Older students spend the entire week there, and they stay at the Peace Corps/Niger training facility. Younger students travel to the camp daily to learn more about native Nigerien customs and village life. Students will meet with the Chef de Canton, shop at the village market, visit a local family's home, and learn about village life.

You will soon realize that AISN is a school where children and staff are excited about learning. It truly is a "Great Place to Learn and Grow." Please provide us with feedback through our guest book or e-mail us if you have suggestions or you would like to learn more about our school.

Sincerely,
Deborah M. Robinson
