Originally built as a tiny, single storey
dwelling in the early 18th century, Beck Cottage is a delightful,
stone-built, cosy, terrace cottage, full of character
and charm with traditional beams and a wonderfully atmospheric,wood-burning,
open fire.
Two further floors were added to Beck Cottage a hundred years
later and this historic dwelling nestles beside Loftus
Beck, a stream which runs directly infront of the property.
Set in a quiet lane behind Loftus High Street, the view
from the tiny window at the front of Beck Cottage, is
of a bank of trees and bushes rising up to the old candle
factory on the main through road of Loftus.
Beck Cottage's tranquil terraced garden to the back
of the property borders adjacent farmland, which sweeps
away to the rugged North-East coastline and neighbouring
North York Moors.
With wonderful woodland walks, minutes away, Beck Cottage
is an ideal retreat for Reiki Attunements and a truly
Holistic experience.
There are Inns and Hotels offering meals and accommodation
in Loftus and the surrounding area includes
wonderful walking country along coastal paths, wild moorland
and the historic fishing ports of Staithes,
Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay are all close by.
Loftus has excellent transport links and the road network
makes it quick and accessible to reach the A19 North
and the A174 South. Good rail connections can be made at the
nearby towns of Saltburn and Redcar with direct
lines to Darlington. ( For further details visit the websites
