The 50+ Festival - Theatre Royal, York.

Yes this is it the 50+ Festival and I am very thrilled to be part of the festival show on Monday 1st of October at 2 pm we will be kicking the whole thing off. I am especially thrilled to be back at the Theatre Royal as part of this vibrant celebration of the impossibility of stopping us more mature types. Stand back we are up and at you. You get a cream tea too.

I was on the big stage a few years ago at this lovely theatre of ours as part of the appeal for the Stage Coach Theatre. As I recall I did a piece that was a broad Yorkshire pastiche of Under Milk Wood and the people I was listening to passing the window were the characters in the cast. I will not be doing that here in the fantastic Studio. It is fantastic and you get what you wish for they say. I was here recently and fell for the place and declared that I would be happy if I got to perform in this very spot. I will have to be happy then, whatever might go wrong in life, because Sue and Ann have made my wish come true. .

Be there with us, it is £7 a ticket and is full of facets of the festival.
Plus a tour.
And you get to chat over cream tea too.
Wow.
(Then of course you go off with a program and plan yourself a very busy time.)

I Crafted This Poem for…

Working really hard
This artist crafts
Starting with wondering
Then finding a part of myself
That knows what it wants
Getting excited, about an idea
A new way of making
Going and studying
Gathering materials
Learning to work safe
Managing to keep clean
Starting to practice
Discovering tricks and skills
Getting used to my company
Being with myself and my working
Building
Shaping
Waiting
Returning
Finishing
