My name is Adam Boutilier. I`m from Nova Scotia, Canada. I`m 16 years old and love to hunt and fish, MOSTLY HUNT. I am always on BUCK CHAT and I am known as Little Boots. In Nova Scotia we have a few species of game to hunt such as, Whitetail deer, Moose, Partridge, Rabbit, Pheasant, Black Bear, Ducks and Geese.

For the past couple of years in Nova Scotia they have had buck only season, to try and help our deer herds. It has worked, the number of deer have been climbing. So this year they are having a doe tag draw. You send in your application, or you can phone a number and they charge it to your phone bill, and they put your name in the draw. There are so many doe tags issued to each area of the province. The cost is $6.00, which isn`t bad.

The BUCK ONLY season worked, the # of deer shot around here more than doubled since last year, unfortunately I wasn`t able to even see one, but I think the doe tags they issued will increase the # even more, or produce a better buck population. Hopefully in the next few years the deer population will increase to the point where they will take the BUCK ONLY season off. There has been a new world record whitetail shot!! Well actually they don`t know if it is or not yet, but the man who shot it used to be a official scorer and he said if he cut off two, 5 inch tines it would still beat the Hanson Buck, the current world record. The deer is huge! It has a massive 38 inch inside spread, and was aged at 6 years. If you would like to see this huge deer go to: HERE!!!
