April 15, 2003 - Although ABC has committed to at least one more season of "The Practice", there is speculation whether the show will return for another season.  The season finale is scheduled for May 5th and is titled "Goodbye".  Check out this E!Online article to learn more.

On March 3rd this website celebrated its first anniversary of being online.  I've hoped in this past year that this website has provided news and information to the growing number of fans of Jessica Capshaw.   You may have noticed the updates to the website have come less frequently lately, and I have had to rethink my commitment of continuing this comprehensive resource on the acting career of Jessica Capshaw.  And I have good news and bad news.

The good news - I've made the necessary recommitment of my time and resources to maintain and, more importantly, UPDATE the website.  Today I've started making major changes and updates to the website.     

The bad news - judging from today's efforts, it will take some time to make the changes that I plan for the website.  And instead of making this changes piecemeal, I want to post the changes to the website all at once.   So bear with me until I get the changes up and running, hopefully by early May.   Until then, I recommend that you visit "The Practice Resource", an excellent fan website on the television series.  It includes latest news on the series, episode guides, and even video captures.

Shannon took the time and effort to make these two Jessica Capshaw wallpapers (1024x768 resolution) and was gracious enough to allow be to post them on the website.  Thanks Shannon!!

March 24, 2003 - Jessica turns in her most powerful and emotional performance of her career in the "Burnout" episode of "The Practice". 

March 21, 2003 - "View From The Top" opened in theaters nationwide to average to poor reviews (although Roger Ebert did give it a 'thumbs up' recommendation).  Jessica has a small role with several lines in one short scene.

January 27, 2003 - The February 1, 2003 issue of TV Guide features an interview with Jessica.  Click here to read the interview.

January 24, 2003 - Jessica hits the big screen again.  The theatrical trailer for View From The Top starts being shown shown at the theaters.  Click here to view the trailer.

January 10, 2003 - The release date for "View From the Top" has been postponed once again.  It is now scheduled for wide release on March 21st.  The good news is that Jessica is definitely in the final cut of the film.  Check out Jessica in the theatrical trailer for the film here.

December 29, 2002 - Jessica appears in James Brady's In Step With feature in Parade Magazine.  The latest about Jessica:  you will soon see her wearing glasses.  Click here to view read the article.

December 12, 2002 - ABC announced that "The Practice" will move from Sunday to Monday to anchor the network's new Monday primetime lineup after Monday Night Football ends.  "The Practice" will air on Mondays at 9:00 pm EST/PST starting January 27th.  David E. Kelley Productions, producer of the show, was concerned with the move and its effect on the show's popularity.

December 5, 2002 - ABC announced that Jessica's contract has been picked up for the remainder of the season.

November 22, 2002 - CNN's Instyle.com "Steal This Look" features Jessica and her styling for the show "The Practice".  Click here to see this feature.

November 6, 2002 - Jessica attended the premiere of "8 Mile" in Los Angeles.  Go to Yahoo!Movies and Fansites.com for photos of Jessica at the premiere.

October 22, 2002 - Jessica attended the premiere of "Ghost Ship" at Mann Village Theater in Westwood.

September 29, 2002 - Jessica debuted on "The Practice" in its season opener on ABC.

September 25, 2002 - "The Mesmerist" opened in a limited release in Los Angeles.

August 9, 2002 - Jessica's 26th birthday!!

July 8, 2002 - ABC announced that Jessica will join the cast of the Emmy award-winning ABC legal drama series "The Practice" for its seventh season.  She will portray Jamie Stringer, a young associate lawyer, who joins the Boston legal firm right out of law school.

June 21, 2002 - "Minority Report" opened in theaters throughout the United States on June 21st.  Check out this website's "Minority Report" page for more information and photos of Jessica's role in the film.       

June 17, 2002 - "Minority Report" premiered in New York with most of its stars in attendance including Jessica.  This is Jessica's first appearance on the screen or television since "Valentine" in February 2001.  Check out this website's "Minority Report" page for photos of Jessica's appearance at the premiere.

June 15, 2002 - Jessica's close friend Denise Richards married Charlie Sheen on Saturday, June 15th at "Spin City" producer Gary David Goldberg's home in Brentwood, California.  Jessica attended the wedding and reception before flying to New York City for the world premiere of "Minority Report" on Monday.

May 17, 2002 - Another comedy for Jessica, "View from the Top", is scheduled to be released on January 24, 2003.  Filmed from December 2000 to March 2001, the movie was previously set to be released in April, August, and October 2002.  Upcomingmovies.com reports Miramax has decided to release the movie in a month many consider to be a "studio dumping ground" when movies that may not attract much attention among the crushes of the summer season or the holidays may have a chance of doing well.  It is a "flight attendant" comedy with a strong female cast:  Gwyneth Paltrow, Christina Applegate, Kelly Preston, and Candace Bergen with a cameo appearance by Mike Meyers. 

May 13, 2002 - NBC's fall schedule was announced on May 13th, and "Romeo Fire", Jessica's latest television pilot, was no where to be seen.  "Romeo Fire" was a victim of NBC's successful 2001-2002 season.  Only five new series, three comedies and two dramas, were added to the NBC line-up.  "Romeo Fire" was not mentioned as one of three possible mid-season replacements.  

April 11, 2002 - The "Romeo Fire" pilot was filmed at the Warner Bros. studio.  Jerry O'Connell ("Stand By Me", "Jerry Maguire") was cast as the fourth firefighter pal.

March 15, 2002 - "The Mesmerist" was screened at the South by Southwest (SXSW) 2002 Film Festival in Austin, Texas.  A scene of the film with Jessica and Neil Patrick Harris is available for viewing and downloading at the SXSW Film Festival website.

February 21, 2002 - Jessica has been signed for the lead female role in a NBC comedy series and was one of the first cast signings along with Stephan Dunham ("DAG") and David Ramsey ("Pay It Forward") whose characters play firefighter pals in the small town of Romeo.  The pilot is tentatively titled "Romeo Fire".
