Never would I utter a crude insult to an officer of the court. Well, rarely would I. Although, in this case I might, after some reflection, recall a vision of a floating bar, chicken wings on the grill and a drunken lawyer taking a whiz off the side. Good ol' days.
Real nice page, John.

(WHY A DUCK) ??

Came upon your page from a message you posted to the Chileheads. My husband is also a real estate attorney here in Southern California and working on his web page. Check out www.pope-and-gentile.com Your page looks good :) And I especially enjoy the humor. Real estate law can truly be dull and complex, we need to keep our wits about us. It is also quite a bit of fun. I know, I work at the office as a legal secretary. Happy chile days.

Great pages!

Hello fellow law dude. Here in Australia we're called Solicitors not attorneys. Last month four of us got together with three non lawyers and set up a motorists association down under. Our membership has expanded since then.

I enjoyed your comments. Many of your links are good as are the quotes.

As the President of our motorists association you'll probably hear from me again when I try to solicit a link once our site at www.aussiemotorists.com is up and running.

Regards

Michael

Well, well, well... Quite an expansive webpage! From the moment I logged on, I was convulsed with laughter. That always happens when I'm watching Marx Brothers movies while I'm websurfing. You were warm, but so was she. You'll go a long way with a little study, and I hope you start right now.

Well, Mr. Fentern, I reeelly liked your homepage it was nice. I heard about your Les Marden page and I had to see it becuz I'm his biggest fan and I love him! Ihave traveled around the world to see him playing characters in dramas and he is very funny. Your Les Mardern page is VERY VERY good I feel like I could almost touch him. Why does his neck look so fat in the pitcure of Les Maddern as Zeepo? Does he have some thiroyd condition or what? Will he live I hope so. Anyway, so then I looked at the home page for the lawyer-guy and that was very good too. Does he have any pitchers of him? I expercially liked the Conneticut speedtraps information 'cuz I drive aroundin Conetticutt alot and I get tickerts for speeding and I don't even got a car. Whne I have time, I will like to look at all the other pages of the lawyer-guy because they look like they are intreresting. I will sign yourbook again then and expecially if Less Masdern will read my note i love him. !
Goodbye.

Speed trap comments are right on target. Traffic court is evidently not governed by the Constitutional principle of "innocent until proven guilty." In traffic court, you are guilty and virtually can not prove yourself innocent. It is more like a kangaroo court.

Very informative, thank you. A suggestion for proofing without having to spend hours doing it: Paste the text into MS Word and turn on the auto spellcheck and grammer check features. The spellcheck does the obvious and the grammer check tends to point out words that are technically spelled correctly but are not the word you wanted.

I was looking for a blank real estate contract and found your website. Excellent information - even if you don't live in Connecticut (I live in Georgia). But I am a real estate appraiser and found your information excellent for anyone buying or selling real estate. You might want to add information regarding what an appraiser does and does not do for the buyer, seller, mortage lender and the real estate agent. Our job is not as easy as it appears and takes hours of work, research and analysis to provide an accurate estimate of market value. Again thanks for your excellent site and information.

I've only seen your page on speed traps so far, but I have to say, ain't that the truth! I got a ticket that I KNOW was wrongfull, and I fought it, but I was scared by the district attorney into believing that I had a very good chance of loose my license if I took it to court, so I took the lesser fine. Now my insurance rates are going to sky-rocket for me doing what I thought was protecting myself.

I had been driving to work (3rd shift) and just hopped on the highway when a car raced up behind me and then slowed down to my speed right when he was close enough to make me uncomfortable (in a 2 lane highway connector). So, being that it was late at night, and noone else around, I sped up some to widen the space- you know, that "Safe Zone". They sped up too-leaving the same distance - more uncomfortable. So I kept speeding up until I hit the main highway, near a State Police barracks - figuring if someone was going to try something, I could always pull in there. So, I slowed down, and that's when the guy behind me turned on his lights-it was a cop!!! He was trying to see how fast he could catch me at before stopping me. He sayed he had me at 90 for 2 miles (mind you the Route 32- I395 connector is only 1.8 miles, and I came from a dead stop)- but it was his word against mine. I've definately lost my faith in the system.

I must say -kudos to your page. The speed traps are absolutely rediculous, and can be downright dangerous - I could have gotten in an accident in those "2 miles" that he said he was clocking me at 90 for, when I would have been more than happy to have been driving 60 all the way to work like I normally do.

Thank you for the great page, and if anything happens like that again, I'll be sure to stick up for my rights and not be so intimidated!

Steve.

I found your page through a search for pages on Tom Lehrer on Excite and Lycos. I've been a fan of his ever since I was a child, because my parents moved in the same circles 40 years ago, and I grew up listening to his twisted, sophisticated brand of humor. I recently got a couple of his records on CD, and thought I would see if he still had a cult following, via a net search. I am gratified to find he is still alive and well and living in Santa Cruz. I also liked your lawyer jokes link and have bookmarked your page for its dictionary resources. You should add these pages to your selection below. I'm also a big movie buff, and found a couple of cool pages through that link. Thanks for being here in cyberspace for me!

Came here looking for possible cures
for the multitude of oozing sores which
currently cover mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
mmmost of my body (sorrrrry about the sticking keys,
but the dripping pus is messing up my keyboard), but
was unable to locate any help on your site.
Guess I'll just have to check out the recipies and cook
something very spicy -- which will probably get me in
trouble with my wife as she hacks and wheezes due to
the lack of adequete ventilation in our kitchen.

I am dropping you this brief line to tell you that I found your page searching for information on tunnel diodes. I don't know A)what I'm doing on the Internet, so I apologize for not leaving my address B)how the search engine managed to put you on the list for tunnel+diode, or C) you. If you want my physical address for any reason, it is 7302 S 365 E Rushville, IN 46173. I am contacting you through a computer at Franklin College in Franklin, Indiana. This line is kind of long, isn't it? I thought about hitting return at some point--maybe I will now.
Ha! It worked. Anyway, I am doing this during calculus class so sorry I didn't look through your page. I'm sure it's interesting and I'll write down the address so I can find it again. Farewell for now.

Greetings!
I wanted to visit your site as I also have utilized the Pro Assistant as my HTML editor. Your site is really great! I am viewing it through my AOL browser and it looks just fine. Keep in mind that MANY people on the net do even have the capabilities for graphics and it is always good netiquette to provide equal opportunities for all. Oh yes I know that the animations are cool and all that - I have them on my site too but keep an open mind and keep up the good work! Congrats on your award!

Hey there!

Well, when you posted a followup to my icon ravings, I decided to check your
page out for the first time in months. Quite impressive! Although I must say
it took about five minutes to load (I suspect a combination of net traffic
this time of day and the fact that I only have a 14.4K modem).

So here's a question for you, since you're a veritable wellspring of
literary knowledge. This has been bugging me for a while and I'm confident
you'll know the answer. Who was it that said (something like) "The best lack
all conviction [something]," and what's the rest of the quote?

Anyway, thanks for maintaining an ultracool site. And by the way, it was
because of an offhand comment you made on the Marx list some time ago that I
subscribed to the "Word-A-Day" mailing list. So thanks also for the tip!

We just checked out your page - it's wonderful! Maybe I'll now finish
learning to use the Editor myself. Our WebMaster (?) walked, so I'm having
to put our page together myself.

I own a realty company in Florida. I'd appreciate any comments, if you get
the chance to look. I know there's a way to create a link, but don't know
_how_ to do it, so here's the address: http://www.realty4u.com.

My parents live in Guilford - I enjoyed the link through to Raveis Realty,
as that's who they're listing with when they put their house back on the
market.

Once again, great page! You deserved the accolades from Brooklyn North
Software Works, Inc.

Merry Christmas!

Thanks for the great page. I spent the night deciding which HTML editor
to go with. I was (am) sold on Assistant Pro. I clicked to your page
as a selection of the week. Geez, I got nothing else done for hours.
I'm still going to have to return.

A bit of history. I work for a Mortgage Banker in Western New York.
I'm a raging liberal interested in free speech. I like pretty blue
graphics.

You're killing me! haha

Thanks for the page. As I said, I'll be back.
