Surgery
Eye Surgery can be very helpful for some people. Those that receive eye surgery
when they are young can benefit greatly from it. For eye surgery to be
effective with little side effects, the patient must be younger than
13 years of age. Any older, the success rate decreases and complications
rises.
I had eye surgery when I was 13 years old. I'm still not sure how my eyes
got so screwed up, but they did. Maybe I was unable to cope with stress or
people. Whatever the cause, I continue to struggle with the root cause of my vision
problem. Not only that but I continue to struggle with the vision problems after
surgery. I was not one of those lucky ones. Unfortunately I had complications after
surgery. The doctors may have considered it a success, but I do
not think so. I have heard that the success of the surgery is measured by
how well the eyes line up after surgery. They do not include or have any
way of really measuring how the eyes will become years after the surgery.
For me, my life is struggle especially after I started to use the computer
for programming. I can no longer think like I use to; I do not have the
memory that I use to; all I do throughout the day is focus on my eyes and how
strained and off balance they feel--especially the eye that I had surgery on.
People always tell me that I look tired. The fact is, I do not feel tired, but
I can not help but look tired because of the eye strain.
I am creating this website to educate those kids out there or young adults out there
who do have vision problems to first find a natural solution before jumping under the
knife. Yes, you may look better after the surgery...and your eyes may look lined up,
but in the long run you will suffer much more. My doctor told me that there was no
way that eye exercises could bring my right eye back to alignment. Because I put
too much faith in her....I face day after day of eye strain. I really believe that
an alternative method of rehabilitation can be done. The exercises that I have
on this website do work, but they require consistent work.
