Hey! This section of my page is focused on the popular instrument, the piano. I started playing the piano at about age 4. My mom and grandparents helped me learn basic notes and simple songs. When I was about 6 or 7 years old, I started taking private lessons. A lot of people start playing the piano because once you learn how to read music, the keys are basically all the same...no need to memorize fingerings like you must do when playing a woodwind instrument. Also, you can play the piano as entertainment at a party or special event.
