Worship for Children

We are glad that you and your family have come to All Souls. We'd like to tell you about this year's program for children which begins on Sunday, September 14. Below is an overview of what you and your children can expect.

Childcare:

We provide childcare for children ages 1-4 during the service. Please sign your children in and out of the childcare room and let us know if there are any special needs that caregivers should know about.

Worship Service:

Ages 5 and up attend the Sunday service each week for the first 15-20 minutes. We feel it is important for children and youth to be part of being a community together: celebrating, singing, and supporting one another.

Monthly Family Service:

Our Contract Minister, Rev. Laurie Bushbaum, visits once a month and leads a Service for All Ages. There is childcare for children under 5. All others are invited to be a part of our Sunday Service. Activity bags will be given to younger children to use during the sermon.

Other learning opportunities:

After the first 15-20 minutes of the Sunday Service, the children (ages 5-12) leave for Sunday School. They are led by church members in special activities that build relationships, help the children learn about Unitarian Universalism (UU) in age appropriate ways, and engage them in their spiritual and moral growth. Each month will focus in a different direction (see "Monthly Schedule" below).
