The story of Neon Genesis Evangelion takes place in the year 2015. Fifteen years after the Second Impact which kill half the world's population. Now the remains of the human race have to fight a deadly war for their survival. The enemy they face are called Angels. These powerful beings have what is defined as an Absolute Terror Field(AT Field)which makes all normal weapons useless. Threre is one agency in the world that has the technology to combat such fearsome creatures. This agency is Nerv. A division of the UN(United Nations). Within their underground base Nerv has constructed the only weapons capible of destroying the Angels. They are known as Evangelions. These giant mecha are the Earths last and only defence. The problem is that only a small group of fourteen year old children can pilot these awe-inspiring giants. The fate of the world rest upon the shoulders of a few children. Should they lose the human race will be destoryed.
