The Video Girl Ai (created by Masakazu Katsura) anime (produced by I.G. Tatsunoko) is about a teenage boy Youta Moteuchi secretly in love with his fellow female student, Moemi Hayakawa. But Youta was shocked to hear Moemi declare love for Takashi Niimai, a handsome fellow student of both. However, things become more knotty as Takashi express no interest in Moemi.
That night, feel rejected, Youta rent a video tape from Gokuraku (a video shop). In the show, a girl appeared, she introduced herself as Ai Amano, 16 years old and she is trying to comfort Youta about his love relationship. Out of sudden, Ai pop out of the TV screen after she declare that she will take care of Youta. Will Youta choose his fellow student, Moemi or the strange girl, Ai ? Love Tragic continues...
