Firemane is a fictional lion-morph character that I've written about, partly as an exercise in self-definition. The character has evolved substantially over the years, which is only natural as it represents my idealized alter-ego. There is a link at the bottom of this page that will take you to some of the fiction that I've written about the character, some of which is embarassingly old.
The image at the top of the screen is actually my family crest. The other side of my family has a gryphon for their family crest, so I guess I get it from both sides.
I'm a proud graduate of the Alabama School of Mathematics and Science, in historic Mobile, Alabama. Yes, I made it out alive, which proves that it really CAN be done. Making it out sane, on the other paw, is a different story. I hold a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alabama, and a partially completed Masters in Engineering Science and Mechanics. Then again, I will make the standard disclaimer that, if you feel you might be offended by reading about fantasy situations that have no direct bearing on the "real world", then I in no way intend to force my dreadfully deviant writing upon you.
I finally got around to writing a little page about gaming. It has information about an IronClaw demo I ran a few years ago, as well as some optional modifications to the system. I've also got some information about my Champions campaign, and I'm working on a Mutant-oriented scenario.
