to Dolby's Digs

A place to kick off those shoes, relax, and wander about our home

Hi, I thought I heard someone at the door. Come on in and let me introduce ourselves (you'll meet the rest of the family as you explore the house). We moved to Texas about 34 years ago. I (Linda) grew up in Ardsley NY and am now retired from Alcatel Network Systems. Ed grew up in Roxbury MA and has retired from John Eagle Sport City Toyota.

Now that the children are grown (was a Girl Scout leader of 2 troops, Council trainer, Drill Team Booster Parent for 2 girls), I am tracing our ancestry and am Webmistress for a number of organizations ... check out all the genealogy connections in The Attic. I've also been doing some writing and my first book, Mills Cemetery located in Garland, TX, has been walked, recorded and is now a published work. For information on purchasing this book, email the author or visit the Mills Cemetery site for a listing of surnames included.

My second book Descendants of William Judson of Connecticut has also been published, is in its second printing and can be found in several libraries around the country. Information on this book can be found at The Judson Connection.

We also love to camp with our RV group, The Garland Sams (a local chapter of the Good Sam Club), and enjoy seeing this country as we travel in our RV.

We took a dream vacation to Hawaii where we took our first cruise on American Hawaii Cruise lines. If you would like to read about our trip, check out American Hawaii Cruise Vacation where I have written a diary of sorts on our trip. We have since taken cruises to Alaska and both the Eastern and Western Caribbean.

Dolby's Digs Review: Homey home page for New York-born Linda, who works at Alcatel Network Systems in Texas. She's got links big-time and they're arranged, rather cleverly, in a floor plan. The Playroom has Web sites for kids; the Music Room has Linda's favorite musicals -- and so on. Drop in and have a tall glass of iced tea.
