Welcome to my animal kingdom!

I love animals! I currently have four ferrets, a dog, and a cat.

All about my animals!

BANDIT

My first and only girl ferret's name is Bandit.
She's my pride and joy and I've had her since 1998. I wouldn't recommend
a ferret to any animal lover. They need A LOT of attention and love to make messes!
They will return any love that you give
them, though. Bandit was once diagnosed with fatty liver disease :(
She wasnt' expected to live through her surgery. Well, the little gal
wasn't ready to go and she is now doing fine. After her surgery she
had to be fed with a syringe every 4 hours! It was like
having a baby. But to see her back to normal is the best
payment I could receive. And I need payment...
her surgery was over $700!

On July 1st of 2000, New York City passed a ban on all ferrets. They said that ferrets
are malicious, vicious animals that inflict harm and cause a threat the people.
That is the biggest crock I have ever heard in my life. I am
fighting ferret ownership for people in NYC, California, and Hawaii where they are already banned.
If anyone would like to help legalize ferrets all over, email me and I can let you know
who to complain to.

PLINKO

My 2nd oldest is named Plinko. He's an ass! Plinko is wired! I tell ya... He is so hyper and playful. He's 3 years old and definitely your typical male...he likes to eat, drink, poop, be mean, and make a mess! I love him though. He's definitely one of a kind. Plinko is by far the most vocal ferret I have. He loves to make his cute little ferret sounds when he gets out to play.

RUNT AND SLINKY

I had no plans on getting any more ferrets until Cheech and Chong entered my life. I have since changed their names to Runt and Slinky! These two boys ended up in my home because they had no place else to go. Their owner had no clue what having a ferret meant. They weren't eating right, had skin problems, and were not properly socialized. My intent was to keep them until they were healthy, and then sell them. However, I fell in love and decided to make them a permanent part of the family.

COMET

My dog is a mix between a German Shepherd and a Husky. She is beautiful. You had to
click on her to get to this page. Her name
is Comet (Calm-it)but I think it should be more along
the line of 'The Destroyer'. She is no longer a puppy (7 1/2 yrs old) but she sure thinks
she is! Weighing about 160 lbs she is sometimes hard to handle...especially when she
is taking ME on a walk!.

JAKE

My cat's name is Jake. He's going on 5 1/2 now. After our kitten, Patches, was hit by a car, I wanted another cat. So, we busted out the newspaper and saw an adult white male cat that needed a home. We went to get him, and it turned out that I knew the people that had him. (It's a small world) Anyways, I wasn't sure he was gonna make it here. He hid behind the couch for over a month! He was very terrifed of the dog and of his new surroundings. He got brave one day, fought the dog, and won. Since then, he's been perfect! He loves to chat-he meows whenever he's spoken to. We all joke that he's half human, I have never seen a cat so smart. Anyways, he's been a joy to our life and I'm so glad he's part of our family now!

POCKETS

My grandma's cat is named Pockets. He is an old feller. I found him starving and badly injured. My neighbor's
dog nearly killed him in a fight. Because he was suffering from malnutrition, he could't fight back or even
get away. He is completely recovered now. He weighs 19 lbs and is 11 years old! Sometimes
I wonder if it is even the same cat!

GIZMO

We used to have another new kitty named Gizmo, who really isn't a kitty anymore. He's all grown-up (5 yrs old).
He is a beautiful silver color and so soft! We think he's part Russian Blue. He was a stray that we had for about 9 months. He went to live with my sister when she bought a house.
He's definitely a cat with a personality! People always comment on his size, his fur, and his personality. He is very large, though not in a fat way. Also, his fur is very lush and beautiful. He gets teased about being a dog-cat.

SHADOW

Gizmo's companion is Shadow. He started out with the dumb name Zeus. But, he was Gizmo's shadow. Followed Giz' everywhere and copied everything he did. So, the fact that he was jet black, and had the mannerisms of Gizmo, made for a name change! He's very playful, sleek, and will play fetch! But, only with a lid from a pop bottle! You throw it, and he'll bring it back. Adorable :)

PATCHES--MAY HER SWEET LITTLE SOUL REST IN PEACE

About 3 yrs ago Shane found a little black kitten. She was the most precious thing! We named her Patches for the patches of white fur she has on her chest, under her arms, and on her tummy. She had a horrible cold when we brought her home but we fixed her up. She was the only cat we've ever had who wasn't afraid of the dog when they first met. They got along great and were so cute together! Unfortunately, Patches ran out the door one day when mom came home from work and we couldn't find her. That night, our neighbor told us that she thought she saw Patches get hit by a car one street over. I went to look for her, but the body had already been cleaned up. We never saw her again, so I am assuming it was for sure, darling Patches.

SNUGGLES

Snuggles just died a few years ago in May of 1999:( He lived a long happy life though and he's better off where he is now.

Last of all is my rabbit, Snuggles. He's a black New Zealand rabbit. He's best friends with Pockets. It's strange because Pockets eats the rabbits he catches out in the country(he lives at my Grandma's now), Snuggles is different though. He and Pockets even slept together. It's the cutest thing. I'm not sure Snuggles knows that he's not a cat. Anyway, Snuggles is 11 yrs old now. I call him Grandpa!
