I'm 19. I am going to the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities at the Institute of Technology for Computer Science. I graduated from Brainerd High School in June 2000. I played on the BHS soccer team (and love it!). I'm also active in Civil Air Patrol, specifically the Crow Wing Composite Squadron. I've been in Civil Air Patrol for more than seven years (joined in May 1994) and really enjoy it. I'm in the Crow Wing Composite squadron located out by the Brainerd airport. We meet every Monday night from 7:00-9:00pm. It is a non-profit organization that is an auxiliary of the USAF. The three basic missions of CAP are aerospace education, emergency services, and the cadet program. We learn drilling, basic first aid, search and rescue techniques, survival, etc. We get the opportunity to go on orientation flights, can obtain pilots licenses, search for lost people or down aircraft, and a bunch other stuff. Currently I am doing flight training lessons and will probably have my privot pilots license sometime next year. Through CAP it's about half the price of conventional ways to get a license. Its pretty kewl.
I've got three brothers (one older, two younger)and two sisters(both older). Both sisters are married, one in Pillager and the other's going to college in Arizona. Also my older brother is in the Navy. I like doing stuff outside, love doing stuff on the computer, did some rapelling this last summer.
And, the most important thing;) I'm getting married on the 27th of May 2001. His name is Jeffrey. It really is a lot of planning and things to do to get ready for a wedding, but, definetely worth it!, and very exciting! Annnnndddddd...... here's one of our engagement pictures=).
