Work overwhelmed me a bit this month and unfortunately it was one of the most active months for the Clash in recent memory! First, the Clash cds have been remastered and have the original artwork/lyrics sheets. The Clash - U.K. version is finally out in the U.S. If you buy two Clash remaster cds at certain stores (Tower Records in my case) then you can get a Clash sampler cd for free that includes some old interview snippets, the "Rockers Galore" B-side and a hidden live cut. Also Mick Jones was on Yahoo! Chat a few nights ago. No transcript has been posted yet at Yahoo however. I want to thank eveyone for their patience and my updates to the site will resume.

1/12/2000: Added the first and very rough draft of the "the Clash Geneology" project. I've always been interested in how musicians moved from band to band and how those bands inter-related. I decided to make a "family tree" of sorts that maps out the changing membership of the Clash and the various bands/lineups that those members became associated with over the years. I know there is a lot to work on - the format of the tree itself, more accurate dates and lineups. At first I wanted to limit the bands to only those that actual Clash members were in. However, it will be interesting to expand the tree to include distantly related bands particulary in the early punk era. The pic is only about 44K but it is large in pixel size and requires a lot of scrolling around to view. Feedback will be greatly appreciated.

1/5/2000: Updated "Stay Free" guitar tab courtesy of Jeff Gaines.
