Glory to God Award
What a *wonderful* surprise was the Glory to God Award. Thank you, Melody!

O'Malley's Bookshelf Fiction Seeker's Award: The Reading Garden has long been one of my favorite sites on the WWW. Your site is a shining example of genre fiction at it's best. The Reading Garden features quality fiction, both published and unpublished, a showcase for the authors of tomorrow and an environment that welcomes the reader and writer like life-long friends. Being an avid reader of fiction, I would tell any fellow reader that this is a site not to be missed. I am awarding the first ever O'Malley's Bookshelf Fiction Seeker's Award to The Reading Garden. I can't think of a more deserving site! *Note: This award came as a complete (wonderful!) surprise!

Gold Mine Site Award

(The above award is for December 1997)

"I stopped by to visit your site and had a very enjoyable time. I often visit sites that contain short stories and poetry and offer my 'HOPE"S WRITERS AWARD FOR INTERNET ANGELS'. I am enclosing the award, as I believe your site is positive and the writing beautiful. Your backgrounds are inviting and the pages are nicely put together too! All I would ask, is that you link the award back to my site, as I would like to offer the award to others like you, who show great talent and caring." *Note: I had no idea Hope had visited! What a delightful surprise!

*The JAVA Arcade Award of Excellence: Awarded to The Reading Garden for: "Great job. Congratulations. We here at Interkid Networks loved your site. We liked it so much we thought it deserved an award. Although our site concerns Java this award is presented for good content and/or great site design. Your site doesn't need Java to qualify for this award. This award is presented for outstanding site design." *Note: I had no idea Interkid Networks had visited my site. What a wonderful surprise to find their award in my mailbox! A *huge* thank you to Interkid Networks!

*The Ark Award of Elegance: Awarded to The Reading Garden for: This award was presented by Angel & Fire, who have created a web site that explores and explains many aspects of the animal kingdom. *The Lady's Spirit Award of Honor: Awarded to The Reading Garden for "...true devotion to design with "spirit". A truly interesting, fun and impressive site. I am giving you this award in the "Spirit of the Written Word." **Note: The Lady's web site is a genuine work of art. Do yourself a favor and take time to visit The Lady, Diana Dru.

*Mighty Grapholina's Excellence in Design Award: Awarded to The Reading Garden for design excellence. Grapholina has also honored The Reading Garden with placement in her Temple's Room of Dreams, and drawn a very special award that's on display there. Please go and view all the awards in the Temple's many Rooms, as Grapholina is one of the most talented artists on the entire web. Grapholina drew The Reading Garden's bucket of flowers icon--I learned that *after* I borrowed it - she was gracious enough to not mention it (g). Her Temple is one of the most exquisitely beautiful places to visit, so please don't cheat yourself of the experience--go there! Grapholina is one of the most caring, selfless people on the web, and has become a treasured friend.

*Update: A copy of the Room of Dreams plaque is currently on loan (below) to The Reading Garden. Don't forget to go to the Temple and view the awards given to other web sitess!

Words fail me when I attempt to describe this beautiful award. This plaque was personally hand-crafted by The Mighty Grapholina, and she has graciously consented to allow me to display a copy in The Reading Garden's Awards room. *notice*: This plaque has been copyrighted by the artist, and may not be displayed anywhere but the Temple Room of Dreams and The Reading Garden Awards room.

*The Dream Catcher Award: Awarded to The Reading Garden for "providing a place for people to showcase their talents". I treasure this award, as I treasure the warm friendship extended by it's creator, one of the first people I met after starting The Reading Garden.

*Bre's Award of Excellence: Awarded to The Reading Garden for web site excellence. I am very, very proud to add that The Reading Garden has been added to Bre's Award of Excellence Hall of Fame.

*The Enlightment Award of Elegance: Awarded to The Reading Garden for "making a statement on the Internet". I consider this award a particular honor. The aesthetically transcendant pages of Sonya and Dave Marvel are a treasure trove of every conceivable type: Civil War, Victorian, gardens, antiques, Midis (music), automobiles, etc. The page of Angel art alone is worth the visit. *Don't miss* this web site! It takes awhile for the pages to load, but, trust me, it is well, well, well worth the wait!!!
