Hi, I'm "Artwinged" or as some of you know me from various parenting chat rooms, "Artmom"

Updated April 2, 2005

I am an eclectic artist, lover of antiques, wood and woodworking, sculptor,
seamstress, and teacher.

I would love to hear from other women artists who are juggling childrearing and their drive to create.
I am not yet able to devote much time to my art as the demands of family come first.

I hope that this page will bring me into contact with other women with similar life situations.

Since I first wrote that description in 1998, I have done a 2 year stint as a computer instructor and then an accountant for a non-profit. The job began as a 10 hour a week part-time thing grew into a full-time salaried position. At times, I was working 50 hours in a week. I no longer work at this position and until I was out of it, I could not see what it was costing me and my family.

I will go back to work again. The growing financial needs of college bound children demand it. But, I never aspire to that level of outside responsibility again. Life is too short.

I would love to hear your comments about this page, or learn more about your art life. Please, fill out this form.
