I would love to hear from other women artists who are juggling childrearing and their drive to create. I hope that this page will bring me into contact with other women with similar life situations.
Since I first wrote that description in 1998, I have done a 2 year stint as a computer instructor and then an accountant for a non-profit. The job began as a 10 hour a week part-time thing grew into a full-time salaried position. At times, I was working 50 hours in a week. I no longer work at this position and until I was out of it, I could not see what it was costing me and my family. I will go back to work again. The growing financial needs of college bound children demand it. But, I never aspire to that level of outside responsibility again. Life is too short.
Hi, I'm "Artwinged" or as some of you know me from various parenting chat rooms, "Artmom"
Updated April 2, 2005
I am an eclectic artist, lover of antiques, wood and woodworking, sculptor,
seamstress, and teacher.
I am not yet able to devote much time to my art as the demands of family come first.
